Q: Do you have a favorite outdoor reading spot?

I love reading at my dad's house up in the "eagle's nest." It's basically a tree house without the tree and has a slide and swing set attached to it. I love climbing up there with a Diet Coke, looking out over a cornfield (lol) and feeling the breeze blow by.

Do you ever get to read outside? Where's your favorite place?

  1. Oh my goodness, I love your reading hideaway. I'm a couch reader, but I'll toss all that for something like yours! Does corn fields mean Midwest? As a kid, I spent summers in Iowa. Man, I loved it! Here's my FF.

    1. I live in Ohio in a small town, and there are cornfields and soy bean fields everywhere around here, lol. It's nice because it's easy to get to Dayton or Columbus from here, where there's more stuff to do.

And I've been able to go up to Cleveland to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which I absolutely love!! Have you ever been there? It's so cool! I wish they let people take pictures in there though - I'd probably use up every single ounce of memory on my camera! :D

Thanks for hopping through! I'm hopping over to your FF now. :D

    2. I have never spent time in Ohio, but the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame sounds awesome. The closest I've come is Hard Rock Cafe in Hawaii...plain sad. I love looking at corn and soy bean fields. All that green! We used to take long drives in the country with my grandma behind the wheel. If there was a single soda (pop) can on the side of the road she'd land us in a ditch if she had to, to pick that dang thing up to recycle.

    3. The Hall of Fame is definitely awesome! The exhibits take you from the earliest recorded music and show you how music evolved over time to get to where it is today. You'd be really surprised to find out how much bands today are influenced by bands from the 60s and 70s, even from the 50s sometimes. I really loved that. Plus, they have Jimi Hendrix's couch, lol!

I hate seeing trash on the side of the road. I must admit I don't stop and pick it up though. :/ That's really generous of your grandma to do that. :)

    1. It's so nice and quiet. There's not a lot of traffic out there, except around 3pm on weekdays from people coming home who work at Honda. Those people drive crazy! Thanks for stopping by, Mariska! I'm heading over to check out your favorite place. :D

    1. Thank you! It's probably a lot sturdier than an actual treehouse, too, so I never worried about falling out, lol. ;) It's really cool in the summer - you can see the rain from a thunderstorm coming across the cornfield towards our house. I always liked watching that.

I'm hopping over to follow you. Thanks for following! :D

    1. I've gotta have peace when I read, lol. When the weather is cold, which it is here a lot in Ohio, I miss reading outside. I also have to read every night in bed no matter what or else I can't sleep. It's a nice habit to have. :)

Thanks for following - I'm hopping over to follow you back! :D
