Feature & Follow #9 ~Which author would you want to hang with?~

I'm so excited to finally be joining Feature and Follow Friday!! This is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where they each feature a fellow blogger and ask a question which can be answered by participating bloggers. If you aren't already following the two hosting bloggers, please visit their blogs to follow them, the bloggers they're featuring, and enter your own blog in the linky. Q: If you could hang out with any author (living) who would it be and what would you want to do?

This is definitely a difficult question 'cause there are so many authors I'd love to meet and hang out with! I'm going to answer with Augusten Burroughs. He's probably best known for writing Running with Scissors, although my fave book of his is Dry, in which he chronicles his recovery from alcoholism. He has a witty style of writing and a sense of humor intact even with all of the crazy things that have happened to him throughout his life. I really enjoy his books, and I own all of them except for his latest release I believe.

I'd hope with everything I've got that he loves amusement parks and roller coasters because that's exactly what I'd want to do, lol! I'd want to spend the day riding crazy roller coasters, eating ice cream and funnel cakes, and picking up some souvenirs. That'd make my year!

How about you? Who would you choose?

  3. I love amusement parks! Great answer. That would be so fun and you'd get to laugh and scream with your favorite author, then feed him the best junk food on the planet! I get to take my boys to their first amusement park this summer.

    1. Oh yes, I want to go there so badly! A couple summers ago, I was obsessed with watching roller coaster videos on YouTube from all different parks, and I saw a bunch from there. They also seem to have a kick ass Halloween!

You're welcome! Thanks for returning the favor! I'm looking forward to talking horror movies with you! :D

  9. I think you described an excellent day. I'm a fan of ice cream and who can say no to funnel cakes? I haven't heard of Augusten Burroughs before, but I do think I would enjoy reading about his recovery of alcohol. I'll have to check it out. Thank you so much for stopping by my FF. 1. I know I can't say no, lol! I promise you, once you read Dry, you'll want to read all of his books for sure. The first book he wrote, I believe, is called Sellevision. It's a funny and sarcastic look at people who work on a home shopping network. Loved it!

You're welcome, and thank you for stopping by! <3

    1. Aw, you aren't a fan of roller coasters? Not everyone is. My husband is so not cool with them. I dragged him on one once when we were with a group of friends. We weren't dating yet, just friends. The coaster we took him on broke down in the middle of the ride, and we were stuck on a hill, right before you go over the top and down. Poor guy! He was pale as a ghost afterwards, and I enjoyed the picture taken of him so much, lol!

      Thanks for following! :D
