Q:  What book/series do you think would make a better TV show than a movie?

A: I'd love to see Eric Asher's Vesik Series become a TV show. It's one of my favorite series! The main character, Damian Vesik, is not only one of my book boyfriends but also a necromancer with a vampire sister living in a world with demons, fairies, vamps, gods, demi-gods, and more! If you love urban fantasy, you've really gotta read this series!

So much happens in these books that I'd fear much of it would be lost if they were made into a movie. Plus, with a TV show, I'd get to enjoy the story told in a visual format over weeks rather than just a time frame of two hours.

  1. Yeah TV shows I think can be better sometimes, but then movies are still good. There's a sort of epicness to them! This series is new to me as well!

  4. I don't know the Vesik series, but I definitely think that there are some books that would work much better as series than as a movie. I'll have to check that series out!

    1. I just realized it probably would have helped if I had told you guys what the series is about, lol. The main character's name is Damian Vesik, and he's a necromancer dealing with vampires, fairies, gods, demi-gods. It's an urban fantasy series, and I can't recommend it enough! I'm rereading the first two books and am getting ready to read the third, so stoked! Thanks for following! :)

  6. I'm completely unfamiliar with the Vesek series, Jennifer. But if your favorite, I should probably check it out, as we often enjoy the same kinds of stories :)
Thanks for stopping by earlier. Happy reading!

    1. I think I'll update this post with what the series is about - that would help, lol. It's an urban fantasy series. The main character's name is Damian Vesik, and he's a necromancer who deals with vampires, demons, vampire zombies, fairies, gods, demi-gods...it's SO good!! Thanks for visiting, Lexxie! :)

  7. Oh I never heard about this series, Jenn! But it sounds like a good one. I'd definitely watch it it's adapted into a movie just because it's about vampires and most importantly, the hero is a necromancer. Damian Vesik must have been always in a dilemma because of his powers.

    1. It's a really awesome series, and I'm getting ready to read the third book! :D Damian has especially strong powers for a necromancer, and he gets into all kinds of situations because of it, lol. He's one of my book boyfriends, too! Thanks so much for stoppign by, Charlotte! :D

  8. I haven't participated in Follow Friday for a while now and need to get back into it. This week I would've picked the Dark Tower by Stephen King. That would be sooo much better then making that series into a movie.

    1. I've been participating sporadically, lol. I try to get them scheduled ahead of time, but it doesn't seem to happen. Oh, the Dark Tower series is a great choice!! Especially since a lot of his books don't translate well into movies. Thanks so much for stopping by, Angela! :D
