WiW ~ Graphic Novels vs. Traditional Novels
This is a new weekly meme hosted by Lauren from Epilogue Review. Each week there will be a something vs. something topic for you to post your thoughts about. Make sure to visit Lauren at her blog, Epilogue Review, and she has a link if you'd like to use her picture (shown above). Comments below with your thoughts are always appreciated! :)
The topic this week: Graphic Novels vs. Traditional Novels
This one is pretty easy for me--I prefer traditional novels. I only have one graphic novel, and it's the first volume of Twilight, which is actually better than the book itself. I do love the drawings in graphic novels; I wish I could draw like that!
But most of the time, I can be found with a traditional novel. There are so many I've read, and so many I have yet to read. Let's just say that I hope the world really doesn't end this year because my to-be-read list is out of control, yet there are so many books on there that I'm looking forward to getting into! :)
Do you prefer Graphic Novels or Traditional Novels?
I love reading and discussing books. Kinda my thing. Want a book recommendation? Just ask! Besides books, I also love listening to music from the 60s/90s, dyeing my hair, trying out new makeup looks and getting tattoos.

My WIW
Heck yeah! :D
DeleteTraditional all the way. I will read a graphic novel if there's nothing else, but it's not my first choice.
ReplyDeleteI agree; they aren't typically my first choice either.
DeleteKaren,
ReplyDeleteHi, it's nice to meet you, too. Thank you for following me. Try to hang in there...you sound like writing is something that is essential to your well-being, and it will happen again for you. Sometimes I think we might put too much pressure on ourselves to produce whatever it is we are wanting from ourselves; at least I know I do.

Definitely traditional novels. I like to envision what is happening myself.
ReplyDeleteI like envisioning what's going on myself, but I also love beautiful and interesting artwork, too. :D
DeleteIt all depends. If I want something I can read in one sitting, then I'll read a graphic novel, but I'll stick with traditional novels if it was that or death. XD
ReplyDeleteThanks for introducing me to "Weigh in Wednesday". I will definitely check out Lauren's blog.
Hey Sarah, thanks for commenting. I stick with traditional, too.
DeleteLauren's blog is awesome, yes please visit her! :) I also forgot to mention that there's a list of bloggers who sign up every week they participate, and the list is on Lauren's WiW posts. :)
