I'm soooo excited for some upcoming flicks! I'm a huge horror movie fan, and there are a couple coming out that look like they might be good. Then of course, I'm also a huge Star Trek fan, and Star Trek: Into the Darkness comes out in eight days!!! I'm going opening night with one of my besties, Jill, and we're gonna see it in IMAX 3-D. It's gonna be EPIC! :D I can't wait!!

Have you seen previews for The Purge? I love Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey, and I can't wait until this one comes out. Not too much longer, and it'll be here! I posted the preview below. :)

I'm also waiting on The Conjuring. My husband isn't thrilled to see it even though he's a huge horror fan also, but I love movies like this. Just sayin'. :) I also posted the preview!

Definitely not last OR least, I want to see You're Next. I don't want the summer to fly by, but um, is it August yet? lol
Opens August 23 |
It's gonna be a long wait for this one!
These are just a few movies I'm looking forward to seeing this summer. I just went with horror movies for today. There's also this gem - The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Ye-yeah!

So what movies are you waiting to see? Don't the horror movies look freakin' scary?! I'm ready to be scared right out of the theater! :D
Okay, I'm with you on Star Trek and I love the word epicness. I read the release date wrong for Mortal Instruments. I thought it was an Oct movie or it would have been on my list. Now for this horror business. I'm going to admit the posters and youtube still shots you have posted freak me out enough I hope I never see a single preview. I can't handle it. Honest. I'm a total wussy. I sat in my room in the corner with the lights on all night after watching Exorcist III. Now way, Jose. I haven't had a night terror or walked in my sleep in a couple years, let's not start that back up. Great TOL. I can't believe we both did movies!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I love that word, too, lol. I have a habit of adding random suffixes to words. :D
DeleteDef don't scar yourself with horror movies! The Purge seems like more of a dystopian movie than a horror movie, which makes me even more excited for it! I wonder if it's a book? I'll have to look that up. :)
The first movie I saw was at a sleepover when I was 13. It was Night of the Demons, a flick from the 80s, but it was really scary and still haunts me to this day even though I've seen it countless times! O.o
Great minds think alike! ;) Pun intended!
Ha! I'm a pun girl. I just found out that my son's class is going to the EMP Museum in Seattle next week for a field trip...and I get to go with! I thought of you because of the Music Hall of Fame you love so much.
DeleteThat sounds like such fun! I know you guys are going to have a great time! :D Thanks for thinking of me! <3
Deleteso excited for all them movies :D

Aw, thank you! Very cool! :D
DeleteSo many good movies coming! This post has me excited : )
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad I've got ya excited! I think you can tell I am, too, lol! :D
DeleteForget Star Trek, give me the horror movies. I'm a huge horror fan and I'm happy to see these awesome horror movies coming soon. I want to see The Conjuring especially, because Vera Farmiga is there. I know it's going to be awesome. I loved her performance in Orphan and since then I've always watched her other movies - Running Scared, Source Code, Safehouse, and Up in the Air. Awesome movies! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog!

Wha? You aren't a Star Trek fan? :( That's okay, I've just been converted fully just a few months ago. :) I can't wait for The Conjuring - I'm obsessed with the trailer, and it isn't even out yet!
DeleteYou're welcome! Anytime! :D
I just saw a preview for The Purge. Holy crap! First of all, brilliant! Second, no way no how. Nope. (I didn't even have time to mute the TV or fast forward)
ReplyDeleteNo?? I don't think it's horror - to me, it looks more like a dystopian society type thing. But it does look scary. I have to know what happens though! :)
