Q: What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, eBooks, paperback, etc?
I was so against eReaders when they first came out, determined never to own one. I changed my mind when my friend let me borrow hers, and my husband bought me a Kindle Touch for Christmas in 2011. At first, I struggled reading with it. I don't know why, but it seemed like it was harder to assimilate the book I was reading as if I had never read a book before! After a few books, I got used to it.
I prefer paperbacks over hardcover and ebooks, however, some hardcovers have such pretty covers, lol! I don't mind them as much as I used to even though they can be a bit heavy to read in bed. I actually read ebooks most of the time since that's the format my review books come in. I'm so glad to have an eReader because otherwise I would've missed out on a ton of indie authors and the opportunity to review.
I thought about buying a Kindle Fire, but my daughter has one as well as a few of our friends and they all have trouble keeping them charged. My daughter's Kindle Fire barely holds a charge. I think we should've waited until a later model comes out - I really hope Amazon fixes this since this seems to be a widespread problem.
Before I knew they can't hold a charge, I had decided to keep my Kindle Touch because I like that it feels as though I'm reading an actual book rather than looking at a computer screen, which I do enough of that as it is, lol!
Which format do you prefer? Do you have a Kindle Fire? Does it have trouble staying charged?
