Q: We are about to see a lot of posts & tweets about reader conventions, RT, BEA, ALA and many more are starting soon. Which one would you love to attend? Where and why?
I've never been to a reader convention before. If I had to choose only one to start out with, I'd like to go to the BEA in New York. I love New York, and it isn't terribly far from me. I took a look at the website, and it seems really exciting. I'd be really nervous going though I think! :)
How about you? Have you been to a reader convention before? How was your experience? If not, which would you want to attend?
Great answer! : )

I'd love to go, too. I'm going to look for tips on going through bloggers who get to go to one this year. :)
DeleteOld follower of yours, too. :D
I haven't been to a reader convention before, but I'd really love to. BEA is at the top of my list as well - I, too love NY, and there seems to be so much going on at BEA.
ReplyDeleteI'm an old Bloglovin' follower, wishing you a fantastic weekend.
Here's my FF post for this week.
It would be so cool to get to go to BEA! And to think, I hadn't given it much thought until now, lol.

I've not been to any conventions either but I think it would be an exciting experience! Nervous wouldn't even cover what I would be but I'd still love to go, especially to BEA! You have a great blog I can't wait to follow your posts!!

DeleteSomeday you should come here and go to one! I didn't know about these that much until I looked them up, lol. I'm surprised Sweden doesn't have any conventions like these. Do they have any bookish events?
ReplyDeleteFollowing you back! :D
I'd probably be a bit nervous about going to one. I'm not sure I can convince any of my friends to go with me lol
ReplyDeleteI'm an old follower :)
My FF
I think I'd have a friend or two who'd be willing to go with me, but I'd probably still be crazy nervous, lol. Thanks for stopping by!! :D

ReplyDeleteThank you for following me, Brandi! I'm following you back. :D
ReplyDeleteOld follower here, too. :) Glad i'm not the only one who didn't know! And YES! I have to agree with you that BEA looks SO exciting. Is it always in NYC? I will have to plan for that, even if it means going by myself (a bit scary, but hey why not!?)
ReplyDeleteI think it is always in NYC. RT seems to be in a different city every year. I think this year it will be in Kansas City. Last year it was in Chicago, and next year it will be in New Orleans. I really want to go to BEA next year. If you go, too, we should plan to meet! :)
DeleteI haven't been to a reader convention either. I'll probably go to BEA, since my sister wants me to go to New York with her one day.

Thanks for following http://pinkyjustlisten.blogspot.com/
Maybe I can talk my sister into going with me, lol. Thanks for following me back! :D
DeleteOOh that's nice! Yeah BEA would be awesome to go to! So many ARCs!! RT though is a really fun convention to go to if you ever get the chance! I'm kind of addicted to them now!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and following my blog! Returning the follow!
Have a GREAT day!
NEW Follower :D
I didn't even think about the ARCs. Oh, my husband would just looove that, lol! He hasn't been complaining too much about my book buying addiction since he bought me a second bookcase. :D
DeleteI'd totally go to every convention I could if I were rich, I swear! RT def sounds awesome, too, especially since it's going to be in New Orleans next year. I'd get addicted, too. Were you nervous when you went to your first one?
You're welcome! Thank you for following me back! :D
Oooh sounds interesting! Unfortunately though, I am in the Uk and there aren't many book conventions round here... Well, not as many as there are in the US. Maybe one day I'll go to New York for the sole purpose of attending BEA! :D
ReplyDeleteRuby @ http://feedmebooksnow.blogspot.co.uk
I wish for there to be conventions for internation book lovers. It'd be completely worth going to NYC just for BEA!! :D
DeleteYour blog is so cute - I love it! Following you! Thanks for stopping by!
BEA is one I'd love to attend but admit I think they would be overwhelming. In the meantime I'll just be green with envy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Literary, etc. :)
I think I'd definitely be nervous. I hope I'd loosen up and feel more comfortable as time goes on. I'll have to live vicariously through everyone going to conventions this year. :)
DeleteYou're welcome! Thanks for stopping by! :D
Thanks so much for becoming a follower of my blog! I'm now following you back via GFC and hope you get to a convention one day.
ReplyDeleteThe Scarf Princess
You're welcome! I hope you get to go to one, too. I know cost is a factor, but perhaps you'd have a friend who'd go with you and split the cost. Thank you for following back! :D
DeleteI would love to go to BEA as well but going to NYC is a bit pricey! Fun but pricey!
ReplyDeleteFollowed back via GFC.
NYC is definitely expensive. My husband and I went there several years ago, but we actually stayed in New Jersey and took a train over to NYC. Just eating at the Hard Rock Cafe was like whoa! It would be so much fun though to go back, especially for a book convention!
DeleteThank you for following back! :D

BEA yeah! Thanks for stopping by, Micheline!! :D
DeleteI'd like to go to BEA too - but NYC kinda intimidates me! ;) I will make sure to blog about my time at RT this year, though. Thanks for the follow - I'm following back.
ReplyDeleteI remember the exact moment I stepped onto the sidewalk from the stairs leading down to the subway. I was really overwhelmed and awed by all the lights and gigantic, tall buildings! I didn't want to have my wallet on me, lol. I'm from a really really small town in Ohio. I still live here and have heard so many stories about NYC being dangerous and famous people being seen. All of that. I felt so tiny admist all those giant buildings. I couldn't really see the sky! I didn't do any touristy things or see much besides Times Square (which was really awesome though), so I'd like to go back and see more. :)
DeleteHave loads of fun at RT, and I'm looking forward to your posts! You're welcome for the follow & thanks so much for stopping by! :D
