I liked the first cover, but I think this one stands out even more. The cover model is looking towards you whereas with the first cover you couldn't see the cover model's face at all. Also the brand around her neck, blue for lust, stands out much more starkly against her skin and gives a better picture into how horrific it is when Lexi, the main character, is branded - one of the scenes that will always stand out the most in my mind.

Darkness. Death. Violence. Pain.
Now every day is a fight for survival. But I won’t die. I won’t let them win.
The Hole can’t keep me. The Hole can’t break me.
I am more than my brand. I’m a fighter.
My name is Lexi Hamilton, and this is my story.

About Abi and Missy
This cover is also much better than the original one! I loved Cole to pieces.. will check out your review now. I read Branded at the beginning of the year if you want to check out my review too :)
ReplyDeleteChanzie @ Mean Who You Are.
I did like the first cover, but this one does express the story more than the first one. :) I'm checking out your review, too, Chene! :D
Delete*ha* I like this cover better too, Jennifer. Although I did like the original because it showcased the starkness of The Hole, I like the brand in this one. And her eyes...her strange turquoise eyes... :)
ReplyDeleteThe first one was good, and I agree it showed the starkness. The brand in this one shows how atrocious it is that this was done to a human being. That scene! Gah! Her eyes are pretty and mysterious and strange, too. :)
DeleteI remember your review of this emotional read. I love the new cover!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great memory, lol! I'm glad you love it, too! :D
