Mad Lib! :D
One day, I was canoodling with Dash. Out of the blue, a spaceship came out of nowhere! It was so freaky, beautiful, and mysterious. At first, we were afraid, we were petrified, but we walked. We hopped on a skateboard to make our getaway.
As we escaped, we turned up the radio because "Carried Away" came on and made me dance. Everything was extremely smooth sailing until a deer appeared in the middle of the road. We swerved to avoid it, but while Dash stayed on the skateboard, I got thrown onto my side in the woods.
I couldn't get up, and felt dizzy as I lay there staring up at the trees. What was I going to do? I heard a growling among the leaves, and felt scared. Surely, this was going to be my end. As my eyes fluttered shut, the last thing I saw was a head of fuchsia hair and violet eyes.
When I woke up again, I was on a couch. My body hurt a whole lot less, and I could sit up. There was a record player and records in the room, along with pizza and Coke. The door suddenly opened to reveal Damian, a concerned look on his face. I blushed and averted my gaze, but he leaped over and said, "Don't be shy. It's okay."
He came over to sit by me, and we started talking after I told him my name. We chatted about reading, writing, and listening to music and realized we had a ton in common! I thought he was sexy and couldn't help feeling a little swoony.
Just as he reached out for my hand, the door crashed open and in came Trace. "Don't let him charm you away, my love!" He yelled, running at Damian. They each had spoons in their hands and began to fight. "Stop!" I yelled, feeling so emotional. They didn't listen to me. Before I could intervene, Damian fell to the floor and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
"What was that?" I asked, staring at the empty space. Trace dropped his weapon, and came over to me. "Magic, but you are safe now, honey." He hugged me close, and I suddenly knew that this was the real deal and not just a dream.
Just as "Love Me Tender" started playing in my head, I woke up. I cursed my blasted luck. Why had it only been just a dream?
Oh YAY! I'm so glad you're participating. Isn't it just a blast?? Man, I wish I would've had time to do it again this year. Mad Libs are so much fun. I loved reading your story! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun! I'm glad I found out about it. I wish I could've participated more the second day, but I was gone most of the day. Thanks, Jaclyn! I hope you get a chance to do it next year! :D
Delete"Love me tender" might be the best song to wake you up, even if you didn't want to :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I agree! :D
DeleteTrace, huh? Did that name just come to you? When you wrote Dash, I thought of Dash from The Incredibles, and I love the whole record player, records, and pizza bit.
ReplyDeleteYup, just came to me, lol. My Dash is from Dash & Lily's Book of Dares - I'm sad to say I haven't seen The Incredibles. Records and pizza make my night. :D
