Q: Give us a tour of your bookshelf.
Q: Give us a tour of your bookshelf.
Not exactly a tour, but here are my bookshelves! :D And my son Jack and our dog Beau. <3 I have books that are now piled on top of the second bookshelf that I want to organize and put away on the actual shelves. I don't want to let my bookshelves get out of hand again like they were, lol.
How about you? I'd love to take a tour of your bookshelves!
May not be much.. but still nice :)
ReplyDeleteOld follower. My Feature Follow
Thanks, Kristen! If my room wasn't so messy, I would've done a video rather than just a picture. But it's one of my fave pics! :D
DeleteLove those shelves, Jennifer! And Jack is too cute! *oh, you are too, Beau* My shelves have looked like that. :) Then Borders was going out of business and they were selling shelves...so my hubby got me some! (those are the first shelves in my video)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comments. You've become one of my bestest blogging buddies too! :)
Jack and Beau say, "Aw, shucks!" LOL That would be so bad ass to have shelves from a bookstore! What an awesome husband! :D
DeleteYou're welcome! Aw, thanks, Brandee!! :D
Hopping through. Beautiful, huge shelves! I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
Thanks, Alison! I love yours, too, with the way they're organized by color especially! :D
DeleteI absolutely love this picture! Look at that cutie. 90% of my books are in storage for an indefinite amount of time. Sadness. My sister's bookcase is worse than this because she has books behind books, which is plain wrong if you happen to sneak into her room in the hopes of snagging a book you've had your eye on, but you can't freaking find it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Robyn! Hee hee, he's rotten. Super rotten, lol. I feel so much empathy for you, and I'm about to join you with many of my books going into storage as we try to get our house ready to put up for sale. We're taking an entire bookshelf plus all the books into storage, and I just got the second bookshelf a few months ago. I'm the kind of person that needs to see everything out at once to remember my stuff. It drives my husband crazy because he likes everything put away, and I like everything out where I can see it.
DeleteHaha, I have books behind books on these shelves - you just can't see them! O.o
I'm not unpacked yet because I'm not the most driven person when it comes to that type of work, but the clutter and missing my books always available is getting to me. Mark the boxes really well, or do a catalog sheets and tape them to the outside of the boxes because you might really need a specific book but don't want to tear through all the boxes to get them. Organizing them really well will make you feel better too, like checking who is going to be your kid's teacher. I know, I'm sad to compare the two. It sounds like you're doing so good with all the work!
DeleteWhich is more dreadful - packing or unpacking? I've never really done this before on such a large scale. When we moved into this house, we had nothing, so everything we bought was delivered to the house.
DeleteThat's a great idea! It's not a sad comparison. How are your kids' teachers so far? My daughter's teacher still seems a not nice person to put it mildly. :/
Awww! He's so cute!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the shelves are wonderful!
Here's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT weekend!
Old Follower :)
Thanks so much, Jessica! :D Love Jack and my shelves! My dog, too, lol!
DeleteI also pile books up like crazy until I go out and buy a new shelf. ;) I don't think it's such a shame. Even those crazy, messy shelves look sorta cool.

Here’s my Follow Friday!
It's driving my husband crazy with the amount of books I buy, especially since he bought me a Kindle for Christmas almost two years ago, lol. I still love physical books though - can't help it! I like crazy messy shelves, too. I try to keep mine organized so my husband doesn't freak out. ;D
DeleteThanks so much for following! Following you back! :D

Thank you! I'm so proud of him. He asked if he could be in the picture, too, and said, "Mommy, I love your books!" Future Reader. :D Thanks for following - following you back.
DeleteCool. I'm not the only one still collecting old fashioned hard copies. I think I'll make a photo of my bookcases my blog topic for the day. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll always love hard copies even though I read a lot of eBooks. So cool you were inspired to make this your blog topic, too! :D
DeleteI love your bookshelves! And your little guy is too cute for words :)

Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
Thank you to both! Love my son, Jack! I could just eat him up he's so cute, lol. Thanks for stopping over, Lexxie! :D

ReplyDeleteTraci @ Mad Hatter Reads
He loves books! He picks out 5 every night, and I read to him. He'll be 4 in November, and he's as much of a book hoarder as I am, lol! I read to my daughter every night the same way - she'd pick out 5 books. She's in 5th grade and can read at high school level, so I'm hoping reading to Jack every night will give him an advantage in school. :) Thanks for visiting, Traci! :D
DeleteWow love your shelves! Thanks for stopping by my blog and new Bloglovin follower :)
